Additional lights. I bought additional lights (those lights which you can install on bars) and they don't seem to work. When I press L to turn on the normal lights, they don't turn on neither when I press K (high beams) or J (flashes).

Such lights provide much bigger field of view. Emergency light ([F4] + [4] by default) is a blinking orange lamp located at the top of the truck (if you buy it) and the trailer (if it is assembled there). If you buy additional front and roof lights you can turn them on. The truck not only looks better but you see the road better as well

can you make them work in game, or are they just..there? cos i turn on all my lights even high beam, but i can't get them to work other than beacon.
ETS2 doesn't take in account country/state particular laws when it comes to headlights. Basically, you'll get a ticket if you don't have full headlights during nighttime, starting around 20 / 8PM i think and until 6 or 8 AM. You also need full headlights in rainy weather. It's common sense really.
