I was completing my Skyscale of Courage achievement and went into my temporary Level-80 boosted character to gather "Courage in the Face of Lost Will" task. When I did so, the standard rewards popped up above the minimap, but it was followed by a notification stating I was unable to complete achievements with a temporary Level-80 boosted character.

All Discussions Screenshots Artwork Broadcasts Videos News Guides If you want you could use it on a level 79 character to boost you to 80 and still You need 30 hero points to unlock an Elite spec, so not too hard, you just need to do 3 hero challenges in Hot/PoF. As you said the only benefit to leveling up from scratch is learning the class at a slower pace, there aren't any achievements tied to it. You do lose out on the incremental level up rewards, but those aren't that great to begin
