Highly built project cars sketch me out ngl. Like I don't think someone would put all that work into a car just to sell it unless it has serious problems. Besides that, it's also a drift car so it's probably got low speed crash damage somewhere. It is a very nice looking car though. I'd say $5-6k at most.

Looking for a good first car as a high-schooler. I have about 30ish thousand saved up, and was wondering if the e36 was a suitable car. Was looking to mod with a turbo kit and some other stuff as well, and wanted to get some recommendations for that as well. Main reason why I want one is that it is sexy asf.
6 E36 BMW 325i. via M Composit. Much like the E30 generation before it, the E36 helped to solidify BMW's reputation as a producer of great sports cars. Even an E36-generation M3 can be found for pretty cheap, but for a real ground-up project, it's hard to beat a dirt-cheap 325is.

I’ve always loved the e36 when i was young and now i’m thinking about buying it, but my parents told me that old bmw’s need a lot of maintenance. Is this true and would the e36 be a good purchase of am i better off looking for another starter?
